My home is in short sale, but if not sold by January 4, 2009 then it will be  going into foreclosure/auction.  At that point are we still responsible for back taxes?

Property taxes will be levied against the property, not you personally.

johnny is correct but the lender is going to sue you for the amounts owed any way so yes it is yours to pay at some point or another

why dont you try to save the home with a modification? i did and it worked to my benefit, i can afford it now and im out of foreclosure! email me for some info
