Real Estate free appraisals?

I am renting a condo and my landlord is needs to sell it. Do you know of any free appraisals service in U.S.? I tried Willow.com but they have a fee. Any sugestions will be appreciated. Thank you!
I'm not trying to get a free appraisal. I had never owned, and I don't know much about real estate lingo... I am trying to compare how much other properties around my area are sold for. I''ve heard that there is a website that lists how much properties in the area are sold for. I hope this cleasr the misunderstanding.

No appraisers have to pay the bills too. It is a paid job, it will cost about $400.

If you get a FREE APPRAISAL it will be worth every penny. No respectable mortage company would accept it anyway.

The only "free" appraisals are from real estate people looking for a listing. The appraisal is worth nothing, it is just an amount in order to get the owner to list the property.
They won't talk with you as you are not the owner.

Any appraisal you could obtain for free would not be worth the paper (or the cyberspace) its written on.
If you're trying to find out what the condo might sell for I suggest you contact a Realtor who can give you a Competitive Market Analysis which should be free of charge. This is not a binding valuation, but would give you a general indication of value.

I would talk with you if you were in Charleston SC. People these days are so greedy that they can not help someone out. From your message it seems that you are trying to help your landlord out? Well just call a Realtor in your area or even go to a Realtor in your area's website and look for a search IDX function. IDX will have actual MLS listings on it and you will be able to compare the solds in the area. Check within 1/2 mile of the subject property, +/- 200 sq ft and that will give you a rough estimate. If a Realtor, someone who holds themselves higher than other real estate professionals should be willing to take ten minutes out of their day to give you a good comp.

What do you mean your not trying to get a free appraisal? If you want to know the value of the condo and you are not willing to pay for it, then you are looking for a free appraisal. There is no such thing as a free appraisal. Anything you get on line is worth nothing. If your looking for a free comp search then call a RE agent, but no agent will take their time unless you are looking to buy or sell. You have to remember someone would have to pull county records on the condo and then run a MLS search and all of that takes time and time is money.
