how can I start a cinema?

I would love to open up a cinema, renting a room above a cafe near my house in London. How would I go about starting? What licenses are required? If I played 8mm films, is it cheaper than DVDs or movie reels?
Do you need to pay a lump sum for the film reel, or royalties too? How does it differ between screening old films and new releases?
If you have any answers, or can suggest a book that would have these answers, I'd appreciate it a lot.
Thanks,
Gavin

I think you have no idea what you are doing. Playing DVD's would cost more money for the lisences then you would bring in.
Try buying a big cinema chain.
