looking for an answer from an experienced honest realtor.  if i am interested in a repo home, should i jump on it now or do you think prices will go now during christmas time and end of tax year?  please  respond only if you knowledge in this field

There is no way to know.  The best anyone can do is guess.  If the economy gets worse, then prices will go down.
